Today, on Holy Saturday, the Poles living in Ireland, regardless of their political or religious beliefs, went to church to join the Mass and take part in the blessing of food, which was to be consumed on the Easter table. The Carlow cathedral was overcrowded and some of the faithful had to stay outside by the main entrance.
Leaving the church with wicker baskets in their hands, our compatriots attracted attention of Irish passers-by. Some of them stopped to ask what was happening in the cathedral.
